PDG David Flinn
Fellow Rotarian Dave Flinn, Ithaca Rotary, passed away on Saturday, December 23, at around 2:00 p.m. Jeff True sent the following remembrance:
Dave was the epitome of a Rotarian. He joined our Ithaca Club on July 1, 1966, and was an active member for over 51 years. Of late he served on the Club Orientation Committee.
He was President of the Club in 1972.
He was our District Governor in 1989 — one of the younger to serve at the time.
And he believed in the work of the Rotary Foundation, earning the first of many multiple Paul Harris Fellows in 1976. Continuing into the future he will leave additional resources as he become a Foundation Benefactor in 1989. And he always looked forward to attending the next Rotary International Convention.
We, and Rotary, have lost a lifelong Rotarian who committed himself to 'Service Above Self' for decades. He will be missed.
David was Age 79.
