October 24th is World Polio Day. Is your club planning an event?

Before I post more information about World Polio Day, I want to say how inspiring it is to visit clubs all over the District and to learn more about each club's projects. Clubs and other District volunteers have shared many projects in this newsletter - from hurricane heroes to youth exchange to books for the world and much, much more, we are PEOPLE OF ACTION.

In the next month or so, we have a few opportunities to get together within the District. The first is the One Rotary Summit on October 21st at the Endicott Visitors Center. This free training event will help attendees learn how membership, foundation giving, and public image work together to strengthen clubs. Register today.

The Foundation Dinner is November 4th at the McKinley in Endicott. It's an opportunity to celebrate, not only, our District's Foundation giving, but to also celebrate the grant projects our clubs have championed in the past year. Our speaker this year will be Dr. Todd "Bowtie" Jenkins. Check out Bowtie's personal invitation to this event, and register here.

On October 24th, Rotary will be live streaming from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Headquarters to mark World Polio Day. Find out more at endpolio.org. This page includes ideas for club events as well as sample social media messages.
