Happy 2018! 2017 may be over, but we're only halfway through the Rotary year. This year has been so inspiring, and I wanted to share some of the photos I took since July.

(If this video doesn't play properly for you, try on YouTube)

In the video, I mention the District Conference (May 18-20 at SUNY Oneonta.) It's time to register, and you can do that here.

Are you interested in getting more visibility for your business? Does your club want to show support for the District Conference? Check out our SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES page.

I'm also excited to announce a new award that we'll be giving at the District Conference. In honor of Rotary's new 'People of Action' campaign, we're looking for 'People of Action' in District 7170. Do you have one in your club (or perhaps your sponsored Interact club?) Nominate that person of action using this form today. Other awards include the return of the ever popular 'Helping Hands' club service project award, and an award for completing RI President Ian's challenge to plant one tree per Rotarian. Stay tuned to apply for those.

I want to leave you with two thoughts. First, I haven't forgotten about the District Conference FUN BUS! This bus will tour Otsego county on May 18th and stop at fun places like the Fenimore House Museum, Baseball Hall of Fame, and Brewery Ommegang. We're putting together the final details for this, and a registration form will be out shortly. Second, the District Conference is your opportunity to showcase the fantastic things your clubs do. This year we have a great space for our House of Friendship, and I encourage you to be thinking now about what you might set-up there to show off to other Rotarians. Contact me with any questions.
