In our July newsletter, I mentioned our District's foundation giving goals for 2017-18 - $250,000 for the Annual Fund - SHARE and $50,000 for PolioPlus.

Here's an update on where we stand right now, as well as some more info on Corporate Fundraising - how we can encourage local and national employers to give to the Rotary Foundation.

Corporate Fundraising

The Rotary Club of Sidney, NY holds an annual Pins For Polio bowling tournament to raise money for PolioPlus. This past year, a Rotarian from that club contacted me for information from The Rotary Foundation because he'd found out that his employer would match a portion of whatever he raised.

Through the process of helping get this info, I learned that The Rotary Foundation does have a corporate giving program.

To find out whether an employer already has a matching gift program set-up with The Rotary Foundation, follow these steps:
1. visit www.rotary.org/matchinggifts
2. Enter your company’s name to find its policy and procedures on matching gifts.
3. Follow the directions and send your company a matching gift request.

If the company can't be found, they may still have a matching gift program, and our contacts at The Rotary Foundation can help you to get the information you need to set this up for the company.
