In 1974, Blue Seal Feeds opened a feed mill in Bainbridge to serve the dairy industry in Central NY and Northeastern PA and David went to work there as a feed salesman.  In 1976 he was promoted to Area Manager, supervising the mill operations and the field sales force.  Over the next 30 years he held positions in management in both direct dairy sales and dealer sales in Vermont and New York covering areas from Connecticut to Ohio and from Ontario to Maryland.  He retired in 2005.

In 1985, David and Judy were married and Judy joined him in retirement in 2007 after a 33-year career with Chenango County Head Start.  Together they have five sons and 11 grandchildren (ages 4-28) but no great-grandchildren yet.

David joined the Bainbridge Rotary Club in 1978 serving as treasurer almost immediately and president in 1989-90; David served on the Board of Directors of the Bainbridge Rotary Club for several years and was instrumental in establishing and running their annual golf tournament.  More recently, David serves as the club’s Foundation Chair. Judy joined him as a member of the Bainbridge Rotary Club in 2009 and served as president in 2013-14.

In 2011 DG Bob Ross asked David to serve as Assistant Governor, and he became very active in Rotary activities on the District level for the first time. David and Judy joined the Visioning Team and assisted with the Visioning process with several clubs.  David particularly enjoys working on the annual golf tournament associated with the District Conference.  Judy succeeded David as AG for Area 4 in 2014.  In 2015, David was asked to serve as Foundation Area Director for Area 5, which position he continues to hold.
